Tell her it is OK to be who she is. Never mind what others may say, it will not change who she is. As long as she has accepted herself as being lesbian, who cares what others think. She still has the same rights as every other American.

Well where are u from??? I dont know where u live in some countries people like these get killed, so she should be careful on who she tells her secret to. Make sure u tell her its nothing to worry about for her not to be ashame of who she is. Support her and love her like the good friend u are.

Your friend is very brave being able to trust & tell you that she is a lesbian in such difficult circumstances. She obviously feels you are a very special friend if she can share this with you. Just be a friend to her & don't view her sexuality as the centre of her being. Be honest with your friend about your feelings & things will work the way they are mean't too. Good luck!

Tell your friend to be true to herself! If she can't love her self, then no one will be able to truly love her and she will always be second guessing every decision she will ever make!
