Oh dear ur gettin a bit battered here aint cha! Wel i dont think its weird at all and for those who warn "Dont put ur views on me" immidiatly assume that's what christians are all about and surly that is being narrow minded. Those without a faith also have views but we never hear people saying ohh their atheist so they are gonna push their views on me so why should it be so for christians. Jesus did preach of spreading the word but in the society we live in EVERYONE has a view and expresses it to a certain extent it is impossible not to this shold just be accepted.
I believe religion can bring comfort and strength to those who need it, who has proved God absolutely? No one But neither have they dis-proved him absolutely. so the arrogant ones are those who dismiss religion as if it were a childlike allusion, it takes an amazing amount of trust and dedication to have a true belief and if it is in vain then at least that person found a sense of self-worth and respect which i find admirable so no its not weird.
Sorry bout the rant lol just hate it when people batter religion all the best :) x

So-o, you're born again--good for you, and for those whose lives will be affected positively because of you. Obviously, you are new at this or you would not have asked that question--especially in this arena! Christianity is not a religion or what you do, it's being who you are because of a relationship with a Person who happens to live in another realm. As you live and learn, you will quickly come to know that you are supposed to be, if not 'weird', then certainly 'different', called-out, light in darkness, etc. Just being like Jesus is going to put you over the top on the 'not like everybody else scale' Nevertheless, there is a flip side that you cannot expect non-Christians to know about or be able to understand. Get your information straight from the Top. Ask Jesus Himself to teach you and you will get all the answers you need when you need them. Good journey!

Well that is a wonderful thing and it is not weird in the sense that it is a freak, but today with all the atheists and all the politics to try to take G-D away from us and all the children in the world, because they are the target of the Communists, and Atheists, to do away with Religion so they can Lord over us all, it is unusual for us to be strong believers because there are so many that have become non-believers. People that have been Christians all there life have walked away from the church but have not walked away from G-D and that is a blessing. I love G-D he has made this Universe so beautiful, and yet not too many out there appreciate it do they? Well hang in there kid you will have your chance.

A lot of people get drawn into cults. Born again Christians is a cult. All cults do their best to control their members. They are harmful to people and best avoided. Being a cult member does not automatically make you weird, but watch out they are very controlling. Don't tell them you asked an question like this on the Internet, they will freak out and make life difficult for you.

Born again christians tend to have a certain reputation for being zealous. This is off putting to people who don't share their emthusiasm. After all there are plenty of people who quietly and unobtrusively worship God without feeling the need to share the fact.
From a personal point of view, I did have one friend who became a born again christian. Somewhat strangely he started whispering all the time and became earnest and unnaturally calm. It was all a bit odd to be perfectly honest with you.
I got the impression he was trying to convince himself more than anyone else.

Yes and no... I am also a born again Christian, but I consider myself to be spiritual versus religious. When I first knew the Lord, I was also very "religious", and that is scary to a lot of non-believers. As I grew in my faith, I learned to let the Spirit dwell in me, and to seek the will of God for my life. I cannot preach to others, or "witness" unless I know that it is God's will. My advice to you is to let your faith grow and mature. Surround yourself with other Christians - their fellowship is/will be a blessing. Secondly, read the bible - it will give you comfort and joy. Lastly, pray - it will give you peace! Read Phil 4:6-7. God Bless You!!

Have confidence in your beliefs but do not close off your intellect either. A lot of Christians belief the Bible to be the literal truth (ie. The Book of Genesis).
Allow God and the Bible to be your moral guides. Don't try to learn much in the way of science and history from it (especially from the Old Testament).

No. We live in a secular age and people tend not to think in a spiritual way, in the way that Christianity teaches us to.Maybe the so called 'scientific method' is to blame in that only things that can weighed, counted and repeatably experimented on actually exist; by those criteria love cannot be shown to exist yet clearly it does, thank God. Just continue to pray for those who doubt you , and continue to live a good life and your example will be a fine witness to the truth.

I see a sea of "thumbs down" raining down on me for this BUT how can you "love God and trust in him soooo much" and say he's always there when you've never seen him? Call me a realist but I need to be able to fully experince something before I belive in it. I belive in good old mother nature - now that's a truely awesome power.

There have been a lot of negative answers. I don't think you are weird. If it's what you believe and choose to live by, then good for you.
Just a little point: A lot of Christians say that God is there for them when they are in trouble, but they should remember to thank and praise him when good things happen too.
