In a typical 120 credit program you need to have (or expected to have) 60 earned credits to be an entering you first semester of your Junior year of college. That said a student with nearly 60 nearly 60 credits (for example let us say 57) and a passing GPA is usually considered a Junior. In other words in is not a clear distincition.

Good Luck!!!
