i think you are just being silly

2.3z=13.8
z=13.8/2.3
z=6

2.3z = 13.8

This is what is known as an equation; in an equation, both sides are equal to each other. It also means whatever you do to one side, you must do to the other side.

In an equation, our goal is to isolate the z. Notice that it's not z, but 2.3z. We have to find a way to get rid of the 2.3 in order to leave the z alone.

That is why we have to do something to the left hand side of the equation. But what we do to the left hand side, we also have to do to the right hand side. What we want to do is DIVIDE both sides of the equation by 2.3.

2.3z / 2.3 = 13.8 / 2.3

This will leave us with z on the left hand side, since the 2.3 values will cancel each other out, leaving the z behind.

z = 13.8 / 2.3

Now, take out a calculator and divide 13.8 by 2.3. You should get the value of 6. Therefore

z = 6

2.3z is the same thing as saying 2.3 x z. and if it equals 13.8, you need to divide 13.8/2.3

The answer is z=0.6

btw, I'm only 11 so give me some credit for knowing this!

ok, all u have to do is make "z" the subject of the equation.
to do this, we have to get rid of 2.3 so we simply divide both sides of the equation by 2.3
2.3z/2.3 = 13.8/2.3
therefore, 2.3 gets cancelled out at the left hand side as 2.3 goes into 2.3 once and only "z" is left. On the other side, we divide 13.8 by 2.3= 6
hence, we have z = 6

2.3z=13.8
This is the given expression..
It shows that both sides are equal. In order to get the value of z, v have to cancel 2.3 present in the left side. So divide both sides by 2.3.
(2.3z)/2.3= 13.8/2.3
Now,
z=13.8/2.3
= 6

2.3z = 13.8
Your goal here is to get z alone
2.3z is the same as 2.3 X z
therefore you would divide both sides of the equation by 2.3
2.3z/2.3 = 13.8/2.3
2.3z/2.3 =z
13.8/2.3 =6 therfore z=6

2.3z=13.8
this means 2.3 * z = 13.8
z is a variable whose value we do not know
to find out the value of z , we need to carry 2.3 to the L.H.S(LEFT HAND SIDE)
2.3 * z= z* 2.3 = 13.8
since there is a multiplication sign before 2.3, when we carry it to L.H.S, 13.8 is divided by this number.
therefore,
z = 13.8/2.3
z=6
when we do a linear equation, the sign of the variables/constants(numbers) transferred changes like this:
+ to -
- to +
* to /
/ to *
hope this helps you

u r not very math challenged because this is very very easy question
2.3z=13.8
z=13.8/2.3
z=6

2.3z = 13.8

2,3z/2.3 = 13.8 / 2.3

z = 6

The answer is z = 6

Insert the z value into the equation

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

2.3z = 13.8

2.3(6) = 13.8

13.8 = 13.8

- - - - - - - - -d-
