Does anyone have any examples of Racism Today?

I need some help for a report. Can anyone help me think of examples of racism due to any attribute that is seen in any society today? Thank you so much for your help!

Yes.

Affirmative Action. Asians are stuck in the middle of a battle going on between rich white people and blacks and Hispanics. AA is only some stupid program that colleges use to pretend they're giving helpless minorities (and now it seems, only non-Asian minorities) a chance, but in actuality, they aren't.

Many of the blacks and hispanics at top universities are middle to upper class. Kids who went to fancy public and private high schools and definitely had bountiful opportunities. The black kids I met at Yale were from pretty wealthy families, many weren't even American.

AA is despicable. It fights elitism with racism. Lovely.
If colleges really want to give youth a chance, they should have something similar to AA but instead of using race, they should focus on the families' incomes. Then, all races, white, black, Asian, Hispanic, etc. will be accounted for.

Also, I see tons of ignorance.

-Rosie O'Donnell's racist "ching chong" remarks and how no one in the media reacted to it.
-How I went to the concert of some random Asian pianist and on the way out after the performance, some lady asked me if I was his sister.
-How people will make fun of my eyes.
-How people will ask me to read Korean when I'm Chinese. It's like going up to some red-head and saying "Can you read this Gaelic?"

The current "illegal immigration problem" in the United States is predominantly the result of racism.

Although many people harp on the "taking jobs from Americans" or their failure to pay taxes, or driving up social welfare costs as their reasons for demanding a secure border with Mexico, the real reason is that it has become socially acceptable to despise ALL Hispanics in this country.

The same arguments used today to attempt to dehumanize Hispanics are similar or the same ones used to harass the Blacks, Jews, and even Irish during earlier periods in American history.

Many have chosen to use Hispanics as the scapegoat for many of society's ills, such as high taxation, crime, drug abuse, etc.

Umm I get followed in 7-11's as if I want to steal a slurpee.
I get stopped and checked 9 out of 10 times at an airport.
IN certain areas People will walk away briskly or feign ignornce if I stop and ask them directions.

Seriously though, even if you think of yourself as well-adjusted and not racist, do you still find it surprising when you see someone on TV of a particular race doing something that you wouldn't expect them to do, such as a black person going fox-hunting?

Yes. It's called affirmative action. And like the person above me mentioned, unfortunately steps against illegal immigration have evolved into an excuse to be prejudiced against all Mexicans.
