I thought it collapsed under Reagan...The debts were bad before him, but they just got way out of control after that. Foreign affairs went to pot and became secondary.

Right now, it is only a flying high illusion.

Empire? I seriously doubt that you know the meaning of that word. This is, in case you slept through school, a democracy, not an empire. I seriously doubt that it will collapse, unless the people who are bound and determined to promote their rediculous redistribution of wealth by oppressive taxation gain power.

For what reason would it collapse? Other nations are turning to capitalism because it works.

Oh, capitalism isn't perfect. It has it's warts too. But the good so far outweighs the bad, that we'd have to be idiots to turn away from it.

i dont think so, naturally people are selfish and the only way sumone can live a happy life these days is to have a lot of money, so the capitalist system is not going to colapse anytime soon, if it does colapse.
