don't you thinnk that's a never-ending war, that nobody's to win? Do you know that there are as many American soldiers who died as people in the twin towers?

I'm not happy about that . I just don't find it a good thing that so many people die-American & Iraqii, young & old..
.I don't see how it can improve, it isn't a war against one country but against some peolpe spread all over the middle-east and all over the world..

He signed a bill a couple of weeks ago to increase the military,
so you know what his plans are. Officially he wont release
his plan until sometime in Jan. I think he is waiting for them to
snuff Saddam and see how much reaction they get from that.
If Bush pulls out, he will go down in history as having failed, but
if he can pull something out of his hat - he will be the hero.
John McCain has been saying that they need more troops from
the beginning and if it works, then he will probably be the next
president and if it doesnt, then he will be toast and Barak Obama
or Hillary will be.
The 3000 soldiers is probably trying to ensure that the Sunnis
dont make a big push and get Saddam loose.

Yeah,I think what he's doing is terrible-so many people are killed there-and it's a shame this war has been started. The point is,Bush as a president has to consider about the U.S.A and once he started this war he can't back out or the U.S.A is in danger.Unfortunately,he must finish what he started:(

3000 more troops is not nearly enough. I'd say 10,000 would be much better. Safer for the troops and much more able to round up the trouble makers. Bottom line we should not have invaded Iraq in the first place.

It shows that the guy is out of ideas. He thought that after taking Baghdad things will go smooth for him. But the truth is that he will not win that war. This is yet another American failure ala-Vietnam!

More soldiers are often needed in a time of war, so I think what he did was appropriate. We must fight to win, not to maintain the status quo. More troops may mean a strong offensive, which could crush the enemy.

I am all for it.

It's 1/10 of what he will be sending shortly as part of his plan to "surge" the troops for 18 more months.

What can one say but he'll probably need 25,000 to secure Baghdad and a 100,000 to secure the rest of the country...the question is..
were are they going to come from ?
