Do you get a pain or any other indication that your baby has moved down into the birth position? I understand this can happen up to weeks prior to going into labour... is this correct?

"When your baby has engaged you cannot walk properly because you feel as though your babies head is sitting right between your legs. It is a different feeling to normal so you will notice the change. Also your stomach will noticably drop. With your first baby it can engage up to 3-4 week prior to delivery, however with subsequent pregnancies it usually only engages within 48 hours of labour. Remember that every lady & pregnancy is different.

Yes it is correct. There was no pain that I experience, but everyone is different. You may feel pressure down there. But You know you dropped because you stomach appears to be caring lower, and the baby kicks or punches it different spots than before. It was nice when I dropped because I was able to breathe better =)
