You now need an HGV license to drive these in the UK, my father exported his 70' RV to the States from UK 3 years ago due to the change in law and difficulty in driving around the country.

Rather than paying costly import duties, I can recommend this RV importer in Witney, Oxfordshire dealing in class A, B & C :

Do us all a favour and buy something European, more appropriate for Europe.

Nobody wants to breathe the CO2 that would come out of some American gas guzzler. There are PLENTY of European manufacturers so why do you need to go "stateside" as you so delightfully put it.

you have to be wary of US imports...majority are too wide for our roads alot of people with this type of vehicle want to go off the beaten track but with this type you cant ..like turning round ..you will have to convert all lights to European standards you have to get a certificate of roadworthyness to tax it ..a Friend of mine bought a 4 BY4 and by the time he had converted it he was sick of it ..just remember one day you will want to sell it ...any buyers !
