I LOVE scary movies, so this could take awhile.

1. The Grudge. It's not scary, but it's very clever. It's about a kind of curse that was put on a house when a man murdered his family in it, and the curse kills anyone who comes in contact with the house.

2. The Ring. It actually is scary; at least, it is the first time you see it. It's about a woman who discovers a tape that, in watching, will result in your death. She has to stop it.

3. The Shining. (The Jack Nicholson version.) It's about a family that moves into a hotel for the winter so that the father/husband can write a book. Supernatural things start to happen, and the father begins to go crazy...

4. IT. Yes, the old made-for-TV version. It's about a group of people, friends from childhood, who have to return to their old hometown to kill off an evil "clown" that kills children. They are the only ones who can stop it because they know how it works and they are it's only full survivors ever.

5. White Noise. It's about a man whose wife dies, and he tries desperately to contact her using EVP...not realizing that he was contacting other things too; dangerous other things. Many people don't like this movie, but if you believe in ghosts and have done research on them, it will scare the pants off you.

Saw.. all of them. As disgusting and twisted as they are, they're the best scary movies I've ever seen. Although I do like Wrong Turn, where a few friends get lost in W. Va and get hunted down by crazy hillbillies. I'm from a small town across the river from W. Va, so it's especially creepy!

The only movie that really got under my skin was 'The Ring', because the combination of everything that takes place and the fact that it doesn't end got to me. Or it doesn't end till the sequel. I think the thing that probably got to me was that a little girl was the cause of everything. I really don't know or can't remember specifically, sorry. Good luck, hope you find what you are looking for. Happy New Year.

Psycho. It shows so little but troubles me so much. Less is more. And the psychological angle is completely convincing unlike in more recent teen slasher movies.

To be quite honest I haven't seen many, but out of the ones I have seen it would have to be the Grudge. That really creeped me out! It's about a curse or something?
