Run the Network and Connection wizards

Is your router encrypted, is so you have to enter the encryption key

Can you "dial" into your router (usually 192.168.?.?)

Check your firewalls, if you have Norton or any other you have to tell it to allow the connection but re-running the wizards should make them ask if you wish to proceed.
