I mean, a horse drawn carraige? Isn't that ridiculous? Of course, just by thinking this, I'm sure that makes me a racist.

Sometimes, yeah. Personally, I don't care at all, two old guys croaked, what a shock!

And no, thinking that does not make you racist - a pop singer is less important than a president. Furthermore, Ford opted for a more modest funeral - which is sensible, who wants a big corpse parade after you die? Waste o' money that is!

Depends on what media outlet you are watching. If you watch E!, Entertainment Tonight, etc then yes, JB is getting more attention. But every major mainstream media outlet has given far more coverage to Ford's death than JB's. The horse drawn carraige through NYC to the Apollo Theater was Rev. Sharpton's idea.

Don't you think Ford will get an amazing funeral next week when he is laid to rest? Ford is laying in repose at both the Senate and House buildings due to his work with both branches. How could you even equate this with a horse drawn carraige and laying at the Apollo?

Anything being done for Ford is done for any former President. Ford was never even elected, just completed Nixon's term. James Brown earned his rep as the Godfather of Soul and influenced future performers. He worked his way to success. Frankly Betty Ford did more for the country with her breast cancer awareness and the Betty Ford Center. All her husband did was pardon Nixon and hit people with golf balls.

Not at all bro. using the word racist in your question makes you sound racist.
James Brown has been in the spotlight way longer than Ford. 2 years as president VS 30 + years as the Godfather of soul (better nickname)
Ford was an ok president JB was an icon.

I believe he is. I live in Australia and have heard very little about Gerald Ford dying but constant information on James Brown. I;m sorry but it was a little disturbing to see his deceased body laying there in that coffin - I don't understand that kind of thing - didn't with the pope either.

Doesn't make you a racist, but your inserting race into the question clearly identifies you as one.

As for the level of coverage, prove your claim. No network broke into their programming to announce Brown's death, nor did they cover his funeral, beginning to end, as they will the Ford funeral. Not one news network has devoted hour after hour to him. And, the number of column inches devoted to him is clearly outweighed by coverage of the death of Ford.

Your assertion is silly and unsupportable and your agenda is more than clear. If you're going to insist on posting blatantly inaccurate information in the future, at least try to do it in a clever and/or entertaining manner.

James Brown was a great man who revolutionised balck music, he should be honored. No it doesn't make you a racist to think he is getting more coverage than a former and only non elected president is getting. The fact is James Brown was much more popular than Mr. Ford. thus he's recieving more coverage, however Ford's coverage will go on and on and on.........

Doesn't make you a racist, but I would agree. He is the king of soul but come on already! I also think the death of Former President Ford was expected. He spent so much time in hosptials the last couple of years

May they both rest in peace.
