Yes. Canadian National Institute for the Blind. You should see their colour scheme for painting. They use high visibility colours on contrast patterns so that the impaired vision people who can see dimly don't run into walls and can find doors. They have totally blind people learning to navigate there too. I have also known two blind people as friends. On of them is a computer geek. How she deals with it is beyond my understanding. I doubt if she does much graphics but she is apparently a good enough programmer to earn a living at it.
I am wondering why you ask this.

Yes, on the street. There's an old blind man in my town who uses a white walking stick. I think I've seen him half a dozen times in my life...

Yes, I have seen many. They do look like people who can see.
Do you live in a small town? Im very surprised you have never seen a blind person. And why does it matter to you? :o)

I have....
I knew a woman who came to Kentucky from New York to see her cousin.... Her name was Mrs. Jess....
This was one of the most incredible women I have ever met in my life.....
This woman could quote any verse or Scripture in the Bible and not misquote it under any circumstances......
She was incredible....
I have never met a blind person who has learned a book so well that it became part of their memory......

You lead a sheltered life.
I know some who are blind or deaf or lame.
Aside from that, they're ordinary folk as some of us are.

several as two examples there was a member of a Lodge I have known for years and I went to college with another person. these gentlemen may not have sight but they use other senses " to see " in ways we who have sight do not.
