i suggest you have a word with him and try to figure out what is exactly bothering him. Don't stress too much on commitment at this time ?
Like others said it could be he loves you or not.
If he loves you he will definitely discuss with you if u ask him politely.
Try to understand his problem if any.
May be it could be, that he would like to give you all that you need ( happiness , love, comfort & care ) but since he is not settled he needs more time. Allow him take some time for his career to shape up. At the same time encourage him to do what he wants even if you feel that its not too much of worth. Give him more respect & more attention. That will also make him think more about you & keep himself close to you.
Pray for him & leave the rest up to god. God is great. He will help you.

It is actually a sacrifice that one has to give for makeing future bright. You should not get broken or depressed for it. Let him climb the ladder and enjoy the fruit with his 100% commitment to you.
Encourage him with your sweet love, take care of him.(mind it no sex intercourse)

You Love and He loves. Its your understanding of planning and comitting. I dont think this is a big issue to be consulted. You have to know what exactly he is thinking and give him support in his future plans. That's where "True" adds to your Love. "Too much" no matters. Its Love Love and Love.... Go and try to read him and then solve by discussions, not by thoughts.
