You know that totally stirs some memory but can't quite grasp it.
Edit: I do, I just found the lyrics and yes I'm old enough to remember!
Corny aren't they?
Hi, hi, hi, beautiful Sunday
This is my, my, my, beautiful day
When you said, said, said, said that you loved me
Oh my, my, my, it's a beautiful day

EDIT: Corny and catchy, I've had that darn song in my head since I answered this question!

Beautiful Sunday was a hit for Daniel Boone (real name Peter Green, or Peter Stirling, depending on which reference you go by) in 1972. He had a follow up hit in Australia with "Skydiver", and had a hit in the UK with a version of "Daddy Don't You Walk So Fast" (a Wayne Newton hit). Evidently he was very popular in Germany.
