The Eagles are shaping up to be a serious threat in the NFC. Garcia is playing well. Can they make a serious run at the title with Jeff under center?

Why not? If big Ben could take the Steelers to the promise land last season, why not Jeff Garcia leading the Eagles to the big dance? They should spank the Falcons this week and win the NFC East. Once the Seahawks beat the "Boys" in the playoffs, the Eagles will have either the Bears or the Saints to contend with. I think the Eagles are playing better than both right now. I'm a Philly guy so I speak from the heart and maybe not from the brain too often when it comes to the Phillies and Eagles but I like their chances.

It would be the ultimate "slap in the face" to McNabb (IF Philly got that far and IF IF IF they won the Superbowl). I think Garcia has the potential, and there is no reason barring any significant injuries that they couldn't go all the way. The only other problem is the defense; which has improved considerably the last few games. If they can keep playing hard defense, keep the penalties to a minimum, and keep doing what they've been doing on offense, they have the keys. As far as opponents in the NFC, I think Chicago is overrated offensively (99% of that is towards Grossman), and we almost beat the Saints in New Orleans. I think every team in the playoffs has an equal opportunity this year. GO EAGLES!!!!

The way they played last week against the team I thought was thes best in the NFC ( Dallas), I would say they have a chance.

This appears to be the kind of year that whoever is hot at the right time is going to take it. A couple weeks back Dallas looked upstoppable, now the Eagles look red hot and capable of beating anyone from the NFC. However, lets face it, Jett Garcia is playing above himself and it is very likely they will get cold at the wrong time.

I still predict Dallas and Chicago going head to head in the NFc championship.

I am an Eagles fan and this has been a lot of fun but to be honest the Eagles will have to play almost all their playoffs games on the road if not all of them depending on what happens sunday. That means probably New Orleans and Chicago so its not likely the Eagles will get beyond the wildcard game. Also I remember only a few weeks ago that terrible football team that faced the colts and the titans and all it will take is for that team to show itself for one game and its all done. Its a nice fantasy but I fear it will be very short lived

Philadelphia will have to play in the first round of the playoffs, and it is rare that a team that plays in the first round goes all the way. They would eventually have to play Chicago or New Orleans and they aren't up to par with those teams, not to mention the top teams in the AFC like the Patriots and the Chargers. Garcia is just one player on the Eagles. I think they are happy just to back in the playoffs. Maybe next year.

Sure he could!! West Coast offense is a great suitor for a player like Jeff Garcia. All he needs now is for the defense to step up and bail him out of any mistake he does make.

Coming from a Die-Hard Cowboys fan. Yes. Unfortunately.

Eagles and the Saints have the best shot at it in the NFC. Bears haven't played anyone good this year so their record is bloated. They will lose their first game.

Cowboys have a shot. It just depends on their defense showing up and their offensive line getting their crap together.

Whoever the 8-8 team that gets in won't have much of a shot, but any given sunday, anyone can win in this league.

The way he is playing right now, he can do it.

He was a 3 time pro-bowler in SF. He then went to 2 bad teams. this is the system that fits him best and he is playing mistake -free football.

The NFC is not really that strong right now, so anything is possible.

I believe he will do it. He will take the Eagles to the Superbowl.

I think so Garcia and Ried seem to have a knack at game planning, He is a natural for that system , It depends on
your defense, if it can play at a high level, If they can you.
should go all the way.. I always felt that NcNab was vastly
overrated..

I think they can, he actually adds to the offense with good decision making skill and consistency that Donovan doesn't have. Because of his age Garcia isn't the QB of the future, but he certainly is the QB of the right now.
