I've saved for vouchers from Park for the past 6 years but next year I'm setting up a standing order to save with my bank. I know of two agents for Park, they took anything between £7000 and £15000 from their customers, and they are also setting up a bank account so their customers can save that way.

I think Park is going to feel the effects of Farepak for a long time to come which is a shame because they haven't done anything wrong, but if people lose confidence there is not a lot they can do about it.

Its disgusting what happened to Farepak customers.

I'm fortunate to have my money in bank... but I think we all didn't realize what these Christmas Hamper Saving Clubs deals were really about until the Farepak collapse made it clear.

As far as I'm concerned... the UK Gov should be ashamed that there was no legislation in place to protect some of the most vulnerable low-income people who were trying their best to make a nice Christmas for their families.

Nice happy tv adverts where its warm and everyone is sat round a nice christmas tree with good food on table and warm fire and loads of shiny wrapped presents and everyone having a good time..... what a disaster Farepak was. "Farepak"... even the name influences confidence in it... but nothing Fare about it. Lesson for all of us - don't believe the hype. Check and double check and check again if your making decision with your money, cause its not "an Equitable Life Henry".

Until there is new legislation to protect these hamper company savers.... steer clear. Even when there is new legislation... I think too many people will be wary of using these companies again.

I've saved with Park for a few years and never had any problems. I think they should be secure especially with the extra trade they'll be getting from Farepak customers!

Better to just save with your bank or even a credit union.

Unless one of these companies could provide me a written garauntee that my money is safe I wouldn't use them.

Park will probably go the same way as people will be less inclined to use them after farepack

I would not risk it after farepak, put the money in a jar at least you know where it is!

Why bother when you can buy saving stamps at most supermarkets. Asda starts the savings book off with £5.00.
