to get the answer you must know laws of reflection
at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_of_reflection

so sun is far away from us so all rays coming from it to us are considered as parallal so the rays coming out of mirror are also paralla for yhe mirror is plane
so the reflection out of mirror will be of shape of mirror only as the outer edgesof reflected lights will form shape of mirror only
as in cxase of tubelight the source is far near to reflector to reflect the size of source only

Sun is huge with respect to mirror and its intensity is very high whereas tube light's tube thickness is small with respect to mirror and intensity is much low compared to sun so the reflection formed is different.

a tube light is much closer than the sun, so when it hits the mirror the light is coming in at a wide angle range, strongest at the middle to form the same shape as the light. the sun, however, is so far away its rays are parallel when the hit you, so they hit the whole mirror with equal intensity.

i hope that makes sense...

The sun may be considered a "point source" because it subtends an angle of only about ½ degree at the places it hits the mirror, whereas an 8ft fluorescent tube 10ft away subtends and angle of about 44 degrees.
