just about all state and federal agencys are corrupt. the problem is MONEY! greed is a big issue too. there should be harsher punishments and penalties for these crimes. for instance martha stewert with all of her millions of $,s got a slap on the wrist if it would be me or you they would throw away the key. judges can be bought just like policeman and polititions. in this society MONEY talks and if you have none like myself you are screwed!

I think we are pretty close here in Finland, as we are the least corrupt nation in the world.
However, that is more to do with our culture than any socio-economic achievement. Most Finns never consider being bribed an option, no matter how high the price goes.
I do not know what the US is doing wrong, as they in all appearances have more negative attitudes about what are considered sins. But, I suppose they could be hypocritical.
