I got three, and a standard fine. I had a clean licence at the time. That was quite a few years ago. Caught on camera, driving a van with poorly-secured expensive things in the back - didn't want to brake hard. Tube. Haven't done it since (well, not quite...)

You deserve 12 as you could have caused a fatal accident. If I was the Judge and had the power I would also make you take the bad drivers course and ban you for at least 6 months. Red means Stop and you know it.

3 points and a fine.

Unless you've already got a tonne of points on your licence.

Annoyingly most insurance companies won't put your premium up for a speeding ticket, but they will for jumping a red.

I believe its 3 points. However not all red lights have cameras fitted, so you may not have been spotted.

Most places on the earth they will suspend your driving priviledges from 30 days to 1 year depending on your age and your driving record.
Try searching Yahoo for "running red light" or "traffic ticket red light" etc...

Good luck and maybe you will get really lucky.
Dangerous stunt too.
