Prolactin hormone from the anterior pituitary stimulates mammary gland and increases milk secretion.
Oxytocin hormone from the posterior pituitary causes contraction in the smooth muscles of the mammary gland to help eject milk from the mammary gland. For milking cow or buffalo sometimes a milkman injects oxytocin so that the animal feels pain in the udder and becomes quiet and let him milk. After that the cow/buffalo feels relieved as humans do after releasing urine from the full bladder.
