The absolutely awful gift from my sister (older)...it was so a quick look in her cupboard to grab some old thing that may be passed off as a gift... why do I spend such time and effort picking a great gift when she just does not have the gift knack or inclination.... You know how they say its the thought that counts...well what if there's been no thought!!!

I always use my dad's Bible at Bible study, because it has large print and it's the New King James version so it's just much easier to read. Well my dad bought me a beautiful Bible, with my name on it, it's leather with pages rimmed in gold and a design on the inside of the flaps and two ribbon bookmarks. It's so beautiful I don't even want to read it!

My husband surprised me by letting me get a new kitten, we're picking it up today. He's not really a cat person, so that surprised me a lot :)

being with both sides of my families. Being with our kids and opening gifts and appreciating them. :)
