Yes, Gautam has shown a lot of consistancy while playing for delhi. On the other hand, Wasim jaffer is now short of confidence. He should be sent back like irfan and should be allowed to play a few Ranji games to regain his confidence..

I think that Gautam Gambhir is a better choice to Virender Sehwag at present. If Sehwag fails in the 2nd innings, Gautam Gambhir and Wasim Jaffer will open the innings in 3rd test.
However, if Sehwag and Jaffaer comes back to form, I do not expect any change.
