RCI stands for Resort Condominiums International. It is a timeshare company that allows transfer of your timeshare weeks into a weeks/points program that allows to you "swap" your timeshare for timeshares at other locations. The desirability of your timeshare determines the leverage you have with planning vacations to alternate destinations. For example, a double unit in Las Vegas could earn you 125,000 points yearly. If you use your timeshare, then you are unable to collect the points for that year. If, however, you decide to let your week go so someone else may use it, you can use the points that you would have spent on your "home" unit towards alternate locations. Each "points" location lists the number of points per week as well as per unit size, more desireable vs less desireable weeks, and so on. Try the RCI website for more information. http://www.rci.com
