Leave the guy alone, he is already a very unhappy man. Poor Roberto, he must be really terrified of gay people!

Studies have shown that when people actually know a gay or lesbian person, they are less likely to be prejudiced.

This is a very good argument for coming out of the closet and letting people know we are here.

Maybe you should send Roberto a well-thought-out note, explaining that you are his neighbor, and that he is being offensive and rude and hurtful to you.

This might have the effect of bringing Roberto to a moment of enlightment. On the other hand, it might make you a direct target of his anger and fear.

So instead of a direct approach, you might send an anonymous note, or complain to the city. he might actually be violating a 'hate speech' or municipal sign ordinance.

Or you could ignore him, and pray that all of his children grow up to be gay.

Well, unfortunately, this is a free country and aholes like him have the right to free speach. What I would do is make an equally offensive sign about breeders. Perhaps that they are the reason for world overpopulation and a bunch of haters, i dont know, whatever u can think of, and see how he feels. Although its not true, just to make a point.

Late at night burn his sign posted with the confederate flag. Then replace the the signs with "Last night I went to bed disliking the gay community, this morning I woke up gay and proud. Now I am a better man".

Leave it up. As offensive and horrible as the message is, in this country we have freedom of expression and to take down his sign, or to bring about actions to have his sign forced down would take away from the freedom of all of us. Instead, utilize the same freedom he is and put up a sign of equal size in your own yard with the AMERICAN flag, and the words " All men and women are equal citizens of America, and should live free of persecution" or something like that. I personally left god out of it, but you could totally throw in something like "we're all gods children" or whatever.

Let him leave it up. Sooner or later he'll walk in front of a window and some other nit-wit will be shooting up in the air, the bullet will ricochet off of his wife only front tooth, slam into a pick-up with a flat and find itself embedded in a head full of ----! Hopefully the bullet won't suffer too much.

Or put up a sign that indicates "God hates Breeders because some of their offspring are Gay" (That's irony - not a dig at everyone, honest!).

He ought to have his asss kicked for misusing our flag. Take it and tell him you are Daughter of the Confederacy and he's trampling your heritage.

It is his freedom of speech and that is legal. So there is nothing you can do, unless you want to move.

File a petition to your city hall to have it removed.

Tell him you find it offensive and it's restricting your right to live in a hostility free neighborhood.
Ask him nicely at first, if he refuses, call a laywer.
