-30° in Colorado? You must be out of your mind. You most certainly do not live in Colorado. It gets very cold in certain areas here, but never that cold.

I'm a native of southern Colorado...Pueblo to be more specific. The winters here are actually very mild. We rarely get heavy snow storms and overall the temperatures are warmer. About one week a year, we'll have night time temperatures that are below zero. Another couple weeks a year with temperatures in the teens. The rest of the winter, it's pretty nice. By nice, we're talking 30°'s to 50°'s. It fluctuates greatly. There's even some 60° days in the middle of winter here. In fact, the city boasts over 300 days of sunshine a year.

I don't know if Pueblo is the warmest Colorado city in the winter, but it's certainly up there. Here's some links:

I used to live in Denver in the 80's. When it snowed it was lovely and no big deal because the next day it was 65 and I had a t-shirt on. And the sun was warm. Snow up to the top of the mailbox but it melted so quickly it was like it never happened. I have just moved back to Loveland area. And it is not what I expected. It is cold here!!! And it doesn't melt. It is deathly slick from ice most of the time and I am not a fan. It's just too cold here. I'm older now and the ice is just not safe. I was certainly more hardy then and could stand it but now.....I'm in Dog Grooming School here, so I plan to take that trade somewhere. If anyone has any ideas where I can groom dogs and be warmER I would be interested in hearing from you. Email onecreativeplace@yahoo.com
