Here's my UFO experience...

A few years ago, my bros and I were out on a ranch about 100 miles northwest of Houston just outside a town called Somerville. Around 3am a huge fireball looking object rose up over the horizon. It was so quiet though but we all saw because it looked a comet. It floated up and just faded away with absolutely no noise.

So the following day, we were talking to some other people about it and another friend told us he saw a huge silver disc that same night gliding over the highway that night before. Craziness.

A UFO simply means, to me, an Unidentified Flying Object. so if I don't know what it is, then it is unidentified. Here is my experience.

On more that one occaision, and with other people around who saw it too, I have seen lights that behave very strange in the night sky in about the same place.

I would see what I think is a plane, and then it gets brighter and brighter. It might drift in one direction or stay still. And then, in an instant it was gone. Then a small red light would be where it was and it would always be moving. Then it would turn on a dime, or zip part way across the sky and stop, or somthing that a typical plane can't do. Then it would get very bright again.

Sometimes the brighter light would split into 2, 3, or more other lights. Most of the time its south of my house that I see it and it usually seems far away. There have been a few times when it seemed like it was right above the trees though.

I'm obviosly not hte only one that has seen it either. I fould out that there have been two books that are published about it from this area and the Discovery Channel actually did a story called "Light Over Southern Illinois" or something close.

I really have no idea what it could have been but I do live in the middle of nowhere. My thought is this: if I worked for the government and were to test a new type of aircraft, I'd do it in the middle of nowhere. Personally, that is what I think is most likely.

OI would say everybody has seen a UFO. Before the bricks start flying, read this further.
U=unidentified
F=flying
O=object

So everyone can identify EXACTLY everything they see in the sky.UFO doesn't mean extraterrestrial spaceship. It is for objects, that due to weather or lighting, cannot be identified, fully, while flying through the air.

A blinking light in the sky could be aliens, a chopper, fixed wing light craft, passenger jet, fighter, aultralight, or a pigeon with a strobe beacon attached...not that I have ever harnessed a light to a bird, but you get my point.

Have I seen an alien starship? No. but plenty of UFO's.
