no you cant. cause PS2 company is SONY and Wii company is NINTENDO. both are different companies.

Only if the PS2 game is on the WII. You can't use the PS2 disk, so you have to buy the game for the WII. If it's not on the WII, tough luck - you can't play it on the WII. So sorry, you can't do it. Unless Sony and Nintendo deside to make somthing that allowes you to play PS2 games on the WII.

Both companies need to protect there interests, if you could play PlayStation games on the wii would anyone in their right mind buy the PS3 when it is launched next spring?

Each system is deliberately engineered to be unique and exclusive. Otherwise everyone would buy the cheapest console and the other manufacturers would be forced out of business.

There could be a chance one day, as you know the Wii's Virtual Console is a load of emulators. There's a chance that a really good programmer could make their own homebrew emulator to do this, but it wouldn't run full speed as the Wii's a bit lacking in power so to speak.

no, the ps2 is from sony. and the wii is from nintendo. two completely different companies. there might be a way later is the future. my friend somehow got gamecube games on his xbox 360
