With all that i see on t.v, school, magizines and other sources, i would like to know why girls hate their bodies or themselves. I always here things like i hate my weight or thighs or i wish i was a boy becuase boys hve better clothes in things like that. I know girls have a lot more to deal with as far as body and body image, but i wonder why they say things like that. I just want to say that i love girls and don't like to see them act in this way. I also wonder why girls are so aggresive with other girls. is this just a myth or is this true?

i think its cuz nowadays stars and other famous people are setting a beauty standard that is too high for many people to reach and guys have looked at that standard and are accepting less and less girls as they are. most guys wont even look at a girl if she isnt at least average.

Image is everything in the type of world we live in. It’s all about who’s the thinnest, the prettiest, and who has the best style.
More and more girls are faced with a society that doesn’t accept the many beautiful shapes and forms we come in. One reason girls hate their bodies is because we constantly have the media tell us that we're suppose to be a size 2 or 4 and we're suppose to look like Kate Moss or Paris Hilton to be beautiful. Girls are always judged by how they look. In our society we equate thinness with beauty. And since most women aren't a size 2 or 4 they feel that they're not beautiful!

Now, you just wait until they're past 40. At that time, all that low self-esteem they had in their younger years turn them into experts at looking for their future in the rear-view mirror of their memories, no offense meant to anybody. Just sad experience.

It is our culture telling girls they have to look a certain way and that is the only thing they have to offer. It is a horrible culture we live in.
