According to prophecies from the Maya, a pattern in Psalms, and the 2000th anniversary of Jesus' death coincide around 2012. With any luck... its this one.
Maya=Their calendar stops Dec 21 2012. Their stellar maps predict an alignment which will end this cycle.

Psalms=Some theorize that starting with 1901, each psalm represents one year. So around 2050.
Jesus=Due to a miscalculation in the converting of older calendars the year of Jesus' birth was not the beginning of our current schedule. So since the 2000th birthday passed without incident, the 2000th anniversary of the crucifiction is believed by some to be the end of the world. This one is between 2012 and 2014. We can always hope.

That would be determined more by human destruction and pollution and not by anything else I guess. I dont think God would think of a "last century" for the universe. Think about this. Jesus said around 2000 years ago, that the kingdom of God is near and that everyone had to repent. Did he mean that the world would be destroyed? I doubt it. What he might have meant is, "each of us have a very short life span and before we realize, our end would be near". So, he wanted people "individually" to repent. Each person's death is the last century for him/her, but not to the entire universe. Universe would continue as is, till humans destroy it by their greed I guess. My 2c.
