If you are interested in online games try Yahoo's TEXTWIST and Bookworm. They are a lot of fun. I play them all the time. TEXTWIST is a timed game but Bookworm is not. You try to make as many words as you can out of the letters provided and if you use all of the letters you go to the next round. Literati is fun as well. It is kind of like scrabble

Or you can buy Scrabble, the board game. That is the Classic word game of all time.

Try, "I spy with my little eye something beginning with ..." and write down the number of letters in the word starting or ending with a letter of the word.

try taboo it's a board game/ sharades game. it's real fun! i think you can buy it at toystores there is for kids and adults
