Yes, you definitely can get pregnant. I have a friend who was on injection and she got pregnant 4 months after she stopped even though her menstruation hasnt returned yet. Absence of mentruation is normal esp when the contraceptive used is depo (injuectable). The best thing for you to do for it to return is consult an OB and probably she will prescribe you will pills to make your mentruation normal.

My sister in law was on the shot for a very long time. When she stopped the shot, at first she had no periods and then she started to have them off and on (this was after about 8 to 9 months off). She has been off the shot now for about 11 months and is six weeks pregnant. The only way she knew she was pregnant is that she was getting ill at about the same time every day. They took a pregnancy test and it was very positive.
If you're trying for a baby, I wish the best of luck to you! Also, go see your doctor in case there are other factors that need to be addressed.
Hope this helps!

After taking contraception, it's expected to take up to a year for your periods to return. It's very individual- some women are fine a month later, some return to normal 18 months later.

You can't make your period return. See your doctor if you're very worried or it's been more than a year.
