Difference between sound cards?

If you had to compare 2 sound cards what specs would you look at to determine the best one out of the 2?

It all depends on what you will do with your computer. I suggest you to read Pc World's Sound Card Buying Guide.

I would recommend Sound Blaster Audigy, live!, Turtle beach Cruz, something with EAX 2.0 or 3.0 support and DX 9 and 10 compatible. usually you do get what you pay for.
