No, he does not have to, as long as he washed his hands very thoroughly with antibacterial or surgical soap before the exam. What did you think they did before they invented the surgical gloves?

There are many doctors who are either allergic to the latex, their fingers or hands are too long or thick for the largest size and they keep slipping off or breaking in the patient, or have a condition where the nerves in the hand become numb when gloves are in place and the doctor cannot feel the patient or what he is doing, etc.

As an former Combat Army nurse I've worked under many surgical conditions where gloves were not available, but good old soap and water were. We were grateful we had that! But today it is more of a medical nature a doctor doesnt wear them than a conditional one. Still, if it makes you uncomfortable, then simply change doctors.

you want to record this known practitioner. if you're lower than 18 then tell your mom or a lady you think. if you're over 18 you may record a police record and then call the medical institution on your section and ask the way you ***** about a medical doctors habit. they could help you in that section. A pelvic exam might want to not be painful and there might want to not be a reason so that you may ought to seem at your known practitioner interior the interest at the same time as he does the exam. replaced into there a nurse interior the room with you? Did he contact you by any signifies which could make you experience the exam replaced into not recurring? i'm almost 40 and characteristic 4 little ones, I have under no circumstances had a known practitioner ask this of me. My daughter is eighteen and she has not both. i trust he did bypass the line and also you want to record it so no different youthful women human beings receives dealt with like this. it may nicely be making eye contact one time and the subsequent time it may nicely be sexual molestation. there have been some medical doctors which have crossed the line and later that is stumbled on out that he did issues to a lot of ladies human beings and they were not reliable sufficient to protest. get up for your self and preserve others. record his movements.

I do not think there is a law about it but there might be.
The thing to do is get the Yellow Pages phone book, turn to the section on lawyers, and start calling some. The receptionists who answer will ask what it is about but say to them that you would prefer to talk directly with an attorney about it since it is very persoanl. They will call you back and you can tell them that the doctor examined you without gloves and is it legal and can you sue him. It is the best way to get free legal advice. They all call back because they are always looking for new lawsuits to file. They will tell you the answer.

The World Health Organisation and the Medical Board in your area would definitely insist gloves be worn. You should report him. Ignore the combat nurse who says gloves don't need to be warn - people didn't wear gloves before the 80s, but now it's a must to avoid disease and infection.

Hi. It is standard procedure to wear gloves during any physical exam of this nature.
Did a doctor perform a pelvic/vaginal exam on you or a friend without gloves? If he did, I would report him/her.
** It is not considered appropriete behaviour, it also goes against policies and procedures and it is wrong.
You can talk to the head Administrator at your local hospital, that person can tell you what you need to know!
:o) Try to find a new doctor.
