I saw it. Its about an american woman, Sally Field, who married a Muslim man, who immigrated from Iran. They get married and have a daughter. About ten years later, they decide to visit Iran, and all three are very excited. The husband has become very "American" with his values, by this time. Once they arrive in Iran, the husband slowly begins to change, the movie hints that many men from his generation left Iran, during the civil war, and felt very guilty about it, as he must have. His changes included, making his wife now cover her head, having complete control over her, beating her, and having very little trust. Very soon, they were on none speaking terms, and treated the wife very badly, including his family. She was trapped and needed to leave. So she tries to escape many times. THe husbands family tries to hide the daughter, but the wife soon finds her and she travel through Iran, avoiding any encounters with the husband and everyone he hired to kill her, and bring back the daughter. Soon she finds an American embassy and goes back to america.

I've seen it, and it just makes me angry. Sally Fields is married to a middle eastern doctor who returns home for his father's funeral or because his father's sick. Once they get there he decides he doesnt want to go back to America. And due to the laws of his country he can keep her and her daughter against their will. So Sally Fields plans an escape.
