it depends. its effective if you "meet" "message" people that is around you area. try searching locally through myspace and use the category bars so you can eliminate which categories you dont want. it might not be effective if you are not HOT. yeah i know its shallow but its the truth!

Well i say yes..but no at the same time

it is because you can develop a relationship with someone not based on looks but on personality...and i think you can really get to know someone better that way

but then again its not the gretest way because you dont know who'se real and whose fake..and its defaintley a risk factor if you conisdered meeting them...but to keep it just on the interent i think that it is an acceptable way of meeting friends

not REAL friends, but friends you can message a bunch and lie to them about everything and make your life sound interesting then get bored and delete them. I have like 300 "friends" haha.

i think it's a good way to talk to people but, it doesn't make up for actually getting out there and socializing and being involved.
