It was the US and Rumsfeld who supplied and supported Saddam in the 1980's, even when he was using chemical weapons. http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A52241-2002Dec29?language=printer
The US supported Saddam when he oppressed his own people, and when he attacked Iran.
At the end of the first Gulf War Bush Sr. encouraged the Kurds and Shiites to rise up against Saddam, only to then sit back and watch as they cried out for our help when Saddam crushed all who did so. http://www.tbsjournal.com/Cull.html
Now we have removed Saddam's party from power, exposing them to the violence and retaliation of those they harmed when in power, and we are having their leader Saddam hanged for all Iraq to see.
I believe the United States has now successfully betrayed every major group in Iraq.
Do you suppose there is anyone left in Iraq, or the region, who trusts the United States?
Should we be surprised when they fight us door to door and want us to leave?
What can we do now?

It is vital to get the message across to average people in the United States and to the rest of the world that the United States is not about what morbid people like Bush and Cheney are about and that we are ALL in trouble from their plots and plans to destabilize nations, including the U.S. with horrific national debt and plundering of the working class. The average American has been lied to so much by Bush and his family through the years that they aren't even AWARE of the crimes that have been and are being committed and blindly follow like dumb sheep, idiotically blaming Clinton's BJ, of all things, and poor Mexicans crossing the border for work, for everything that is worrisome and wrong today. The peoples of the Middle East who are suffering the most from this monsterous paradigm of lying and greed and plunder, must absolutely stop playing into the hands of plunderers like Bush and their own leaders who have sold them out for their own comfort and power. The people of the Middle East and the rest of the world could clean this mess up if they stopped falling for the ploy of being divided by faith, by culture and creed, by skin color, by historical feuds and by fear. We need to be divided, alright, between those of us who believe in working toward peace and prosperity for ALL and those of us who believe in war and greedy plunder that benefits a few evil families. It won't end there or anywhere until people wake up and stop being so stupid.

Bush Sr. helped get Saddam in command there in Iraq, he also provided them with weapons and did the same for Iran. He was noted as saying " I hope the hell they destroy each other." His father was also a friend of and helped Hitler during WW11, and the Bush family always seems to have an escape goat to blame. It is all our fault for not listening to all the information out there on whom we elect as our governers and presidents, most of us vote not knowing anything about them or caring. We all know that Gore actually won the election, but did anyone bother to stand up and make sure he got it? NO! And just who is the govenor of Florida where all of a sudden the people forgot how to vote? We all sat back and passed the buck. Then we stupidly elect him again, which is totally all our fault. I don't think the people of the other countries blame the people of the USA, they blame the people who are running this country. I honestly believe that if Gore had taken over office, this tragedy would never have happened to begin with. There are so many foriegn people here now that know we Americans work hard and pay lots to our government, that we are so involved with our work and our own lives we don't always have time to keep up with world affairs and what really is going on in other countries concerning our government. The internet however has given each and everyone of us a chance to meet people from all over the world to discuss our governments with a civil attitude and to learn things we have not heard about what is going on. We are not always told where our tax monies go, or how it is used. They can tell us, they can show us. I have seen newspapers with headlines and photo's along with articles of what our country is doing in others sent over a cam. People need to stop criticising and start doing something. Why would we try to impeach a president over something so minor as we did Clinton, yet let Bush get away with so much more. Look at how Kennedy used the white house for much worse than Clinton. What about Nixon, was what he did so bad when comparing the two?

inspite of your immensely naive premise, you controlled to return to 0.5 an excellent question. countries would desire to attend to different countries and in case you check out a map, you will see that 4 hues are sufficient to have not have been given any 2 adjoining worldwide places take place a similar color. except the nationwide coverage is to play ostrich, one unavoidably works with the fewer-than-suited. Adults comprehend that. of direction, some heavily isn't confident below any circumstances, yet as quickly as the different factions comprehend their valid concerns are actually not undertaking to the totalitarian terror of Hussein, and their secure practices may well be certain, the completed difficulty can actual fall into place. it somewhat is lots extra substantial they have faith one yet another than it somewhat is they have faith the US.

Leave... leave... leave. Bush says we must win to protect ourselves; that withdrawal gives terrorists safe haven there. Does he really think that Iraq is the only place they have? He plays on our fears in self justification. Our government refuses to see beyond their ethnocentrism. And once again, we think we have the right to dictate and control another country. Not to suggest that everything that happens in Iraq, or has happened, is ideal in Gods world. But the same country who once thought they should have autonomy reguarly tries to control other countries. We need to really think critically about such things. How can people not see????
