I took a Pregnacy test and you're suppose to use a cup to hold the pee. I couldn't find one so i used a water bottle that had water still in it. And I flunked my tests. My question is. Would it screw up my tests if there was extra water in the pee? Please. If you could answer this it would of great help! THANK YOU!

Yes I think it would since you just diluted the urine. So re-take the test. n

Depends on what stage you are in. The first trimester of pregnancy (1st three months) has your hormones in their peak so if water dilutes it, it may still give a positive result depending on the amount added. The second and third trimesters ( 4-9 months), the concentration usually levels out. In fact in the quantitative analysis of HCG (hormone that reacts in pregnancy test) different urine dilutions are made use of to determine whether the pregnancy has normal titers at different months.

I would guess you could get a false negative, but not a false positive. The test detects levels of pregnancy hormones, so if you water it down, it might tell you you are not pregnant when you really might be. But, if you water it down and it still says you are pregnant, you still are. (I'm not sure what you mean by flunking it.)

well, having water mixed in with the urine will dilute it and, depending on the amount of water, it may be enough to cause you to 'flunk' the test...I think I'd get another test: this time one that you actually pee on, not dip into urine...can't get it wrong that way!

why didn't you pour the water out first? Yes it can mess up the results of piss tests by diluting it. Why else would the drug testing facilities have the water off in the sinks and the toilet bowl water blue?

of course it can mess the test up you have diluted the pee so if your hormones are still low what chance does a test have at picking it up if you mixed it with water?????????

i could retest lower back interior the morning in case you have not been ingesting alot of water, looking on how overdue you're, in case you're basically an afternoon or so overdue and drank lots of water then it ok would have diluted the urine, so i could take yet another one interior the morning once you awaken

nope...the test is looking for a certain chemical in your urine...if its present at all the test will come up positive. extra water wont matter a bit

yes it imbalences the hormones in the pee which tell whether ur pregnant or not
