Woody Allen appeared on the March 21, 1969 LIFE Magazine cover in front of a picture of Humphrey Bogary. The magazine feautred a story entitled, "My Secret Life with Bogart by Woody Allen." Interestingly enough, Allen came out with play and film written by himself called "Play It Again, Sam," which was taken from a line Bogart said in his classic 1942 film "Casablanca" (although he never actually said that exact line; Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman) says "Play it, Sam" whereas Bogart says"You played it for her, you can play it for me. Play it!"). The story was probably stemmed from the play and eventual film by Allen.

Was it Lauren Bacall, his widow?

Bogart was born in 1899 and died in 1957, so this would have been in his 70th year. I have seen a picture of Bacall in front of a large poster of a stamp featuring Bogart. It is in the food hall of my local multiplex.
