There was a definite negative morale switch when the wrestlers got word on 12/20 that from this point on, the company was no longer go to pay for their hotels and rental cars. This was a major morale killer coming days before Christmas. A lot of the lower level talent only make $300 per show, and when you now add in hotel and rental cars, that's a significant chunk of change being lost.
looks like WCW to me

TNA definitely tried to become big too fast. Before WWE was big,it was an independant promotion for a long time.Let's face it,Dixie Carter or Jeff Jarrett doesn't have the experience that Vince McMahon has.It doesn't suprise me that TNA is in financial trouble, most new companies had struggled with financial difficulties.Besides,TNA doesn't charge people do get in to the Impact Zone, the audience normally get in for free.TNA's profits comes from PPV sales and merchandise sales, which I doubt is enough to pay their staff.

It's definitely a bad decision, but it will be fine.
TNA is still growing, theyre about to get a 2nd hour and take ppv's on the road.
And they have an entire roster that are loyal because they are not steroided enough to get a push by "fruity" Vince McMahon. TNA is on pretty solid ground for a while.

And technically WCW wasnt in horrible financial trouble but they sold to make a load of cash. WCW was actually run better than wwe, they just sold at a low point

Firstly, I am a WWE fan, no changing that. TNA is making little or no money annually, they aren't allowed to charge entrance fees at their Impact show (not that it would be worth much since attendance is still below 1 000) and their only real profit is off PPV sells, and they aren't making much off that. TNA's Victory Road 2004, managed only 30 000 buys, Victory Road is the TNA's Wrestlemania, in my opinion anyway. WWE's PPVs from 2003-2005 had buys from 160 000 (Taboo Tuesday) to 950 000 (Wrestlemania 21). To summarize, given TNA is new, it is struggling to find profit and thus heading in the same direction of WCW.

TNA however have recently announced a video game to be released soon, also they plan to go on the road for PPVs now, meaning ticket profits and have also made alliances with YouTube.com and Panda Electricity. Things will be good for TNA in future years, but for now they will have to settle for smaller crowds until their time comes.

If TNA can not get a better tv deal and tons of more exposure than they are doomed to follow in WCW's path. You might see some of the mid carders split for somewhere that would pay for all of their travel fees that way they are making more than 25 bucks a night
And to real wrestling fan. WWE stars are going to TNA due to the lighter work and travel schedule. That way they can spend more time with family and oher projects. This is true except for Kurt Angle. The main reason he went was just to compete. WWE wasnt going to let him wrestle until he got his health issues taken care of. Kurt is a competitor and TNA would let him wrestle now, showing that they are not concerned with the big picture
