Not sure what your intention is, with this question. I interpreted it as what a person can afford to lose, based on the topic (philosophy) that this question is in.

According to me, the last thing a person can afford to lose, is their self respect.

The last thing man can lose is actually the most important and most valuable that he possess. You can lose love, health, friends, family, but if you lose yourself, and your self-respect, then you can say that you don't exist anymore.
