Although it seems like a few quarts it is really only a few tablespoons unless your menstruation is very light or very heavy.

A few ounces at most...the highest amount that is still within normal range is 1/2 cup but even this is too much and may indicate a serious problem.

Depends how heavy she bleeds. You usually bleed heavier as you get older. But, everyones different, so who knows.
