LABOR PAIN............ YOUCH.!!

I once fell into a metal violin stand. All I remember is bleeding a lot in the head and looking up to my parents who were putting a towel over my forehead on the way to the hospital. It turns out that I got a few stitches, and I'm glad I wasn't a goner.

Then there's the time I ate the wrong burger and had food poisoning last year. It was excrutiatingly painful.

26 hours of back labor with no pain meds/epidurals/nothing! Followed by an emergency C-Section b/c after 26 hours I had only dilated to 9, my baby was 10 pounds 5 ounces! Follow this with extreme post pardum(I'm talking commited to the psych ward, no lie) depression, while I still had 15 staples in my abdomen. Then not even wanting to look at my baby for 6 months after she was born. Now she is the love of my life, I would do anything for that little thing(she's 4, now).

After having cancer surgery (thyroid) a couple years ago, my parathyroids were traumatized in the operation and I went into hypocalcemic shock. I've had multiple operations in my life-time and I've given birth to three children ... most were 10-12 hrs of HARD labor ... and no pain medication what-so-ever. None of these things can even compare to the pain of hypocalcemic shock. :( If you've ever had a SEVERE leg cramp ... picture your whole body doing this ... for over four hours. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy ... ever.

The worst phsical pain I have experienced has to be birth and labor pain. But the thing is after the baby is born, its like you never felt the pain to begin with. It is all worth it in the end.

When I spilled boiling milk on my crotch. Putting a staple halfway through my thumb wasn't too pleasant either.
Both these incidents happened when I was a child. I've been lucky since and haven't sustained many injuries.

I HAD A LAPROSCOPIC PROCEDURE DONE BACK IN MAY TO TREAT ENDEMETROIS.
DOCTORS TOOK A SCOPE THAT WENT THROUGH MY PELVIC AREA, THROUGH MY BELLY BUTTON.

I'M USUALLY GOOD WITH PAIN BUT WHEN I WOKE UP, I HURT SO BAD THAT NO AMOUNT OF MORPHINE COULD TAKE IT AWAY!! THEN THEY TRIED GIVING ME DEMEROL (I THINK) ON TOP OF THAT AND NOTHING HELPED!! THEY THEN TRIED MORE MORPHINE ON TOP OF THAT WHICH SENT MY HEART RATE OUT OF CONTROL!! NEXT THING I REMEMBER IS WAKING UP AND EVERYONE STARING AT ME!! THE PAIN HAD LET UP, BUT I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT!!
