I have just ended a relationship that was unhealthy for the both of us. I dont have enough space to write in to explain it!!!! But basically it has ended with me being charged with common assault for slapping him because he would not leave my home after me asking him repeatably and ignoring me. I know it was wrong but something inside me just snapped and I wanted control back of my life again. Anyway I miss him so much and I am not angry and I should be! Its three weeks since this happened and he has taken an AVO out on me. I just dont understand, I am not a violent person at all and it scares me that I am damaged from all this crap (trust me there is lots lots more) and that its all my fault. I feel very hopeless and would love some advice and feedback on this. I wish I could explain more but do not have enough room. But its quite bizarre and he was a pot addict (about 15-20 cones a day) which I know contributed but he seemed so together at times. I feel like I never knew him

You are going in the right direction. This relationship was unhealthy, and you did well to end it. Get some therapy to help you understand your bad choices of the past and also to help you make better ones in the future.

It's only been 3 weeks. You have the right to grieve the relationship. BUT you know the relationship is unhealthy so follow your brain not your heart. Let it lie, it's over , leave it that way. You slapped him in the face and he had you arrested this relationship would not get better if you got back together w/ him. Someone would end up in jail. You don't say how old either of you are but it comes to a point where it's time to grow up. Smoking pot is what kids do to experiment when you become an adult it's not longer cool. Learn from your mistakes pick yourself up and move on.

You've done the right thing, don't feel bad at all at least you had the courage to end up this unhealthy relationship. You are a strong person all you need is maybe some counselling and stay with your friends and do the fun thingy. Don't regret it.

People don't stop loving each other just like that. Falling out of love is a process, like falling in love. It may be a long process, and, if you look at it carefully and sincerely, with your eyes wide open, you will be able to see and understand what brought you both to this situation

It's a power thing. If you grovel and beg he will drop the AVO and take you back and love you forever until the next time he makes you so angry with his verbal abuse that you'd love to shove a propane tank up his @ss and light it.

I am so sorry for what you've been through, it seems like you've had a bad time recently. Legally, everything will be explained in time; you mustn't let this worry you right now. Emotionally, you have made a brave decision and should be very proud.

never heard the word "cones" but I am assuming that is alot.....but really, in my days of weed, you can only smoke so much till you smoke yourself straight, and crash after pigging out....(thank god I grew up).....Pot doesn't make people violent, it makes them lazy.....so there is more to this story I am sure.....You said you slapped him, must have been a hell of a drama scene for you to be charged with common assault.....he took an order of protection on you, I think you need to move on, grow up, and do something else besides whine over this guy......your on a bumpy road in life, and if you keep traveling it, the next guy you slap, may kill you......ever watch the evening news?????????
