Are "rhinestone shades" much more expensive?

Cheap sunglasses implies something about the person - that they're not rich and therefore more likely to be impressed by a weird guy in a beard. Rhinestones are basically fake crystals (like Country singers have on their coats). Implies trailer-trash-ness and possibly an easy lay.

Cheap sunglasses don't involve any emotional detachment.
The only statement they wish to make is one of subtle, utilitarian concealment.
Incidentally, My stepdad is an optitian, and made lenses for Billy Gibbons sunglasses during the Eliminator tour. They were prescription glass lenses not with "glass so dark they won't even know your name", but with a rose tint. The frames were Baush and Lomb frames that look like a Wayfarer on the top, but have a metal band around the bottom of the lens.

And they weren't cheap.

Come on, like you've never had a pair of cheap sunglasses and thought you were "all that" wearing them.

because we can all relate to having cheap sunglasses. its all about reaching out to your audience.

saying "I am rich, and you arent" isnt going to sell records.
