I would like something rather than nothing. But if something is worse than nothing. I think nothing is better.

Something can be either something good, something bad or something irrelevant, and nothing is allways irrelevant.
So if you choose something you have a 1/3 probability of it being good, 1/3 of it being bad and 1/3 of it being irrelevant (<-- the equivalent of nothing). By choosing something you have a 66.666% probability of getting either something good or something irrelevant and a 33.333% probability of getting something bad, which I think by far outweighs choosing nothing and having a 100% probability of getting something irrelevant.
Therefor something is probabilistically better.

Love, friends, money - are definitely better than nothing.
Enemies, trolls, bots - better nothing than something.
Depends on what to choose from.
