I tried the toothpaste thing. It works on small scratches, but I've found something better. Our Local Video store uses it and taught me the trick. Put some Fingernail Polish REMOVER on a Chamois or lint free Paper Towel and Rub it all over the read side of the disk ( or just where the scratches are, either way works) Wait for it to ALMOST dry and then wipe it off with a dry part of the whatever you were using to put it on.

Here's how *I* do it.
Pour the Finger Nail Polish remover on the disk. (Over the sink or toilet, obviously) Wait for it to almost dry and then Wipe it off with a piece of Toilet Paper (Non-Lint).
OR If that doesn't work then I put the Finger Nail Polish Remover on and wait for it to COMPLETELY dry. You will notice clouds on the disk. Put the game into your CD cleaner machine, or clean it as you normally would.

If this doesn't work, you will need a Scratch Remover machine. It would be cheaper to buy another copy of the game.

No, My advice don't do what my cousin does which is leave your games out of there cases and all over your bed room floor covered in dog hair.

Just get a pre-owned game most of the time you won't have any problem. Plus your Disc is "heavily" scratched so running out and wasting money on a Disc cleaner that isn't gonna work isn't a good idea.

As for all those other thing's like tooth paste and nail polish that's like sticking 500 different things in you hair to get gum out all it does is make it worse.

Good luck :)

If you bought the game recently, try exchanging it at the store or call the publisher and ask for a replacement.

Most video game stores have a disk (CD…compact disk) polisher. For a couple of bucks they will fix it.

Go to bestbuy or a videogame store and get ScratchDoctor or something like it that cleans your disk for you.
ITs cheap and it works like a charm.
