I am getting a cable modem installed tomorrow by my cable company. My computer and everyting else is on one side of the room and the cable jack and TV are on the other side. Am I going to have to move my whole computer? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

No. just get a cord long enough to reach. I have a cord running across the floor, to the other side of the living room.

You can move your pc closer to the cable jack or you can run a long coaxcial cable to the pc. It really doesn't make any difference. You can run the cable along the wall under the carpet to hide it if you can't stand to see the sight of the cable.

You cant run 2 modems. yet you may get a on the spot router for you modem and a community adaptor to your xbox, so which you would be able to hook up with xbox stay wirelessly... Get a on the spot g or on the spot n with g backward connectivity so which you would be able to get a good connection.. Thats the way I even have it set up and that i'm getting a good sign...
