I constantly find myself bored, and need something new to do. I don't like watching television, but I do love reading. I really am looking for something time consuming and in-expensive. Please help!

Computer programming; writing; more reading; learning to make films; running marathons; studying foreign languages. Lots to do, kiddo.

Well... that is up to you. Besides reading, what peaks your interest? Hobbies are such a personal thing. Do you like to look at birds, or collect something? Hobbies can be alot of things, ie; sewing, playing sports, collecting stamps or other things, cooking, studying something you like, like astronomy. The list is endless. You need to just find what really gives you pleasure or enjoyment and start doing that.
I enjoy collecting antiques and anything that is made in occupied Japan. Mostly teacups and saucers. I also collect shells. I love to sew and make things for others. My hobbies include the computer also. I love to create websites. So you see it can be anything that is meaningful for you.
Good luck in finding whatever it that may be.

One of the hottest items sold for teens this Christmas was sewing machines... YES teens are starting to sew again.. and why you might ask?

Well, mostly because of decorating jeans and coats AND making purses.. anything from jeans. A girl can decorate up an old pair of jeans or pay $130 dollars for a pair already done.

If you are artistic and can do a little art work buy some paints and sparkles and decorate away.. If you have a sewing machine available then make purses from your old jeans..

Let your artistic imagination fly.

HAVE FUN

I would like to suggest you a novel as you stated that you love reading.

Paulo Coelho's - By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept

You might have heard about the Alchemist, which is a best-seller of its time and even now but I bet that you should read this. This one's awesome.

Here is a sort of plot as I've already read it:

By the River Piedra I sat Down and Wept is one of Paulo Coelho's most prominent titles.

It is, essentially, a story about love.

It also includes elements of paganism, in particular it focuses on the female aspect of divinity.

The story focuses on Pilar, an independent young woman, who is frustrated with the grind of university life and looking for greater meaning. Pilar's life takes a turn when she meets up with a childhood sweetheart, who is now a spiritual teacher and a rumoured healer and miracle worker. They set off on a journey through the French Pyrenees as the journey unfolds.

This is the first part in Coelho's trilogy "On the Seventh Day". The other two parts are Veronika Decides to Die and The Devil and Miss Prym. This trilogy is a week in the life of someone ordinary to whom something extraordinary happens.

Genealogy is free, and it is lots of fun. Especially finding out about your ancestors. You are young enough to probably still have grandparents or maybe even great grandparents who can help you. They will probably even have pictures of your ancestors that you have never see before. If they do, make sure they write on them who they are and how they are related. You are young enough, you can do a lot of serfing on the net for things, and there are sites you can put some of your families histories on. Like findagrave.com, there you can put your deceased family members on and a bio, then watch and see who visits it to leave virtual flowers. Plus all your information is there for years and it's all free.

Can you draw? Paper, pencils and pastels are all you need to get started. If you can draw anything remotely resembling a human figure, you could write your own graphic novel. This is a hobby you could get "lost"in for hours.
