But personally, I do. I like it for its beauty and value. Although, I prefer Emeralds.

Like it or not - it is a status symbol. I finally got a ring after 17 yrs of marriage (2 carat) and EVERYONE notices. I am not big on jewelry and thought I didn't care but I have been enjoying the attention and it has given me a boost of confidence (to think my husband thinks enough of me to spend that kind of money)

Diamonds aren't rare, nor are the valuable. The only reason they are priced so high is because people are dumb enough to pay for them.

I love diamonds.They look so awesome n gorgeous.I also like rubies.Girls especially like diamonds n ruby n emerald more.

i like them but i feel they are extremely overpriced. for something so supposedly "rare" there certainly are a lot of them for sale.
